Asia Argento was raised in Rome by a filmmaker as well as an actor family. Both professions she pursued her own. In 1985 she made her acting debut in the film of Sergio Citti, Sogni e bisogni. She had a leading role as Cristina Comencini in her first film Zoo, 1988. Michele Soavi directed The Church 1989. This latter was recognized by the Rome Film Festival. Asia produced her first feature in Scarlet Diva (2000). The film was a collaboration with Asia as well as screenwriter/actress Linda McCartney. It was released on May 20 the 20th of May, 2000 in Italy along with around the globe. The film won a prize at the Williamsburg International Film Festival, Brooklyn. Anna Lou, the first of two daughters she has was born in the month of the month of January in 2001. In 2002, Asia starred as Jean-Marc Bar's co-star The Red Siren (Olivier Megaton) and Vin Diesel was the star in Rob Cohen's thriller The Action. Asia has also been the writer of numerous stories that have been published in a variety of prestigious magazines
